Membership Information

The Lethbridge Highland Dance Association belongs to parents and other supporters of Highland Dancing. It is managed by parents, elected each year to fill executive positions as well as numerous committees to help local area dancers maximize the benefit of their Highland Dance experience. The time commitment is not huge and we are all in this together so it is important for parents to get involved.  Members of the association are asked at minimum to volunteer for the yearly dance competition that is held in Lethbridge in May of every year.  Shifts and various duties are available, but we do need all members to participate.

Membership in the Association offers:

  • Friendship and support from other parents of Highland Dancers
  • Opportunities for community performances and dance-outs
  • Network for costume exchange (costumes are parents’ responsibility)
  • Workshops sponsored by the Association

Membership in the Association requires:

  • Participation in one fundraising activity
  • Assistance with annual competition

Meetings are scheduled at 7:30pm on the third Thursday of every other month:

  • November 16/17
  • January 18/18
  • March 15/18
  • May 17/18
  • Sept 20/18

Meetings take place at Kathy Oler’s home   2306 – 22 St S  Lethbridge  7:30 PM.

Membership fee is $40 per family annually, from September through to the following August. Cheques payable to LHDA. Dancers 16 years and older require their own membership.

We hope to see you at our meetings. There are only 5 per year. Please fill out the information below, detach, and bring it to an upcoming meeting. We value your input and interest in Highland Dancing!
